The Mayor of Jyväskylä, Timo Koivisto, and the Director of Economic and Employment Services, Ari Tolonen, visit Jyväskylä-based companies weekly to hear how they are doing and what wishes they have for the city. The purpose of these visits is to strengthen cooperation between the city and businesses and to identify potential development areas for the entire city.

Any company or employer can request a visit from the city leadership. These visits provide businesses with the opportunity to directly present their views and suggestions to the city leadership.

- We want to hear the thoughts and wishes of businesses so that we can together develop Jyväskylä into an even better place to do business and live," says Mayor Timo Koivisto.

Earlier this spring, the Mayor and the Director visited KSPT-Insulation Oy, which operates in the industrial insulation and building technology sector and is headquartered in Jyväskylä.

- The visit was extremely beneficial, and the discussions with the city leadership went well. Business services, zoning issues, and other services aimed at businesses were highlighted, and mutual benefits will certainly be achieved through these discussions. It's nice that the city visits and discusses with businesses, praises Heikki Ollikainen, CEO of KSPT-Insulation Oy.

- KSPT has been satisfied with Jyväskylä as a location, and the aim is to keep our business locations here and thus support the vitality of the region through tax payments. The city's business-friendly attitude and the availability of business plots and zoning activities have partly enabled this, Ollikainen continues.

Business visits will continue as usual in the fall. Companies can also invite the city leadership for a visit by contacting the Mayor's secretary, Maarit Laukkala, maarit.laukkala@jyvaskyla.fi.
