For employers, companies, associations, and foundations, operating in the City of Jyväskylä.

To hire an unemployed job seeker or those at risk of unemployment who are either under 30 years of age, have moved to Jyväskylä, have been unemployed for a long time, or are international experts.

As a part of the recruitment subsidy, a cash bonus if the job seeker is employed for a longer period. With the bonus the recruitment subsidy can amount to up to €13,000.

Subsidy is for employment contracts starting in 2026. Please, apply within one month of the start of the employment relationship.

For employers operating in the City of Jyväskylä or the Municipality of Muurame.

To hire an unemployed job seeker, aged 18–29 who have been unemployed for at least six months. An exception: a 30-year-old job seeker who has complited only the basic education syllabus.

The recruitment subsidy covers 50% of the job-specific salary for six months, up to a maximum of €1,500 per month.

Subsidy must be applied for before the start of employment.

For employers operating in Jyväskylä.

To hire an unemployed person with deficiencies in professional skills, or whose permanent or long-term disability or illness reduces their chances of obtaining suitable employment, or who is a long-term unemployed person aged 60 or over.

The wage subsidy is 50, 70 or 100 %  of the salary, depending on the on the job seeker's situation and the assessment of service requirement. The subsidy period is 5, 10 or 12 months.

Must be applied for in advance: The employment relationship must not begin before the wage subsidy decision.
