Youth recruitment subsidy

As an employer, you can receive youth recruitment support of up to €12,500 for the salary costs of an unemployed job seeker aged 18–29, from Jyväskylä or Muurame.

Youth recruitment support is for companies, associations or foundations operating in Finland.

Half of the salary costs are paid to the company as the youth recruitment support, up to a maximum of €1,500 per month. The employer can receive support for six months. The company must commit to hiring the young person on a permanent or fixed-term contract for at least three months. Support may also be granted for apprenticeship training if other conditions are met.

In addition, the company may receive a €3,500 bonus if the young person remains employed for one year or secures permanent employment and the employer meets the criteria for granting the City of Jyväskylä's recruitment subsidy.

Youth recuitment subsidy must always be applied before the start of the employment, and its granting is discretionary. The support is paid as de minimis aid.

The Youth recruitment subsidy is financed by a Discretionary government grant known as Nuorten työllistämisseteli.
