Getting Ready for Investor Day 2025!
This year, we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of Investor Day! Check out the latest news about the event – the judges have been announced.
The Investor Day jury has an important task at hand as they choose the winner from the eight startup companies pitching during the day. So let´s meet the Jury who are ready to discover and support the next big ideas!
Leading the jury: Candace Johnson, Founding Member of the Sophia Business Angels and President Emeritus of EBAN. In 2023, she was honored by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for her pioneering role in the Global Board Ready Women (GBRW) initiative, which played a key role in shaping the “Women on Boards” directive that became European law in November 2022.
Haruka Arai, Executive Director at Cefmof, has built an impressive career at NTT DOCOMO. Among other things, she was responsible for driving open innovation between start-ups and the NTT Group, as well as managing investments at NTT DOCOMO Ventures (NDV). Over the past 15 years, NDV has invested in more than 190 companies across Japan, the US, Europe, Israel, and beyond.
Audra Elena Shallal, EBAN Board Member and Vice-President of Corenvest with over twenty years of experience in entrepreneurship, business planning, and pitch coaching for investor-ready programs. Based in Finland and France, she consults for esteemed international organizations, including the OECD, UNEP, UNIDO, and the European Commission. Audra teaches courses on entrepreneurship and finance at prestigious institutions such as ENSCP, X, ParisTech, and CELSA, and she conducts her popular workshop, “Craft a Killer Pitch,” globally.
Tiina Laisi-Puheloinen, CEO of FiBAN, brings a powerhouse background in startups, fundraising, and digital growth. A strategic leader in SaaS, dynamic pricing, and media, Tiina helps startups scale with vision and precision.
Jesper Jarlbæk, President of EBAN. Jesper has been a business angel since 2006, and he has made 50+ direct investments in startups since then. In 2023, Jesper was recognized as Business Angel of the Year in Denmark and in 2024 he was recognized as Business Angel of the Year by EBAN.
