Ten hydrogen sector companies selected for the Seed Village H2 Fuel the Momentum Accelerator

Seed Village - H2 Fuel the Momentum is an RDI-driven accelerator for companies developing and applying hydrogen solutions across the value chain. The Seed Village jury is scouting for active hydrogen players as well as companies that are exploring opportunities and developing new solutions.

The Seed Village jury selected 10 companies for the accelerator. The selection was based on four criteria: market potential, ability to grow, references and team.

The selected companies are:

• CarbonReUse Finland, Lahti
• Nordic Energy Innovation - Cetrium, Varkaus
• Reduciner, Helsinki
• PowerUP Energy Technologies, Turku
• ZUN-H, Kerava
• SMART+IONS, Espoo
• Novox, Espoo
• Xylo Gas, Siuntio

In addition, two of the companies requested to keep their names confidential.

The companies’ combined turnover is 2,4 M€ with 91 employees. Their goal is to increase their combined revenue up to 290 M€ and employee count to 345 within the next three years. The Seed Village accelerator helps to validate the companies’ solutions through piloting and proof-of-concept, identifying business potential, and leveraging EU funding to support growth.

“The participating companies represent exactly the kind of technological expertise that we want to integrate into Jyväskylä’s hydrogen ecosystem. Their solutions span hydrogen production, fuel cells and electrolysis, as well as CO₂ utilisation, biochar, synthesis gases, and renewable energy generation and storage. Our goal is to identify concrete collaboration opportunities that can leverage this expertise in research, pilot projects, and the commercialisation of new solutions,” says Nina Rautiainen, Programme Manager at the City of Jyväskylä.
